March 1998 Netnuggets

Hello,
        I apologize for not announcing this earlier, but since November
I have assumed the leadership of NAS.  I just never got around to
announcing it in this forum.  In addition, Mary Stevens has just left
NAS for another assignment within CCSO.  This leaves the NAS with Leah
West, Mark Zinzow, and myself.  We are currently looking to add
additional support.  In other news, the third DNS machine that we use on
campus has changed.  It's address is now 129.79.1.1.  Also, Friday's
network problems were due to ATM outages, and this is currently being
investigated.  Lastly, NAS has new and revised courses for network
administrators.  You can find a description and register for them at
