About -- Message Center

   The Operations Center is notified of numerous events on “Big Board”. Big Board is the central display for the Message Center for Data Center events. Message Center notifies OpCenter staff of door usage, emails, CATS Tickets, weather warnings, environmental monitoring, and most importantly, probe status from InterMapper. Message Center can also be polled and displayed by OpCenter staff via a web interface. This allows OpCenter staff to view all pertinent communication at a glance. This compilation of information allows our staff to focus on projects and other work at hand. Because of this, OpCenter staff can perform a diverse set of functions while on duty.
